After some cajoling, she shyly admitted the truth. Her sex life was horrible. In fact, it was fast becoming non-existent. She had been a model Muslimah her entire life. She had eagerly looked forward to marriage as a chance to finally indulging in all the physical intimacy she had postponed for the sake of Allah.
Coming from the medical field, she knew all the relevant biology. She could draw and label all the parts of male and female anatomy. She had taken fiqh classes and knew the legal rulings of menstruation and intercourse. Oh, she knew the mechanics. Insert penis into vagina.
They had begun eagerly but after a few weeks, realized that neither of them was truly enjoying having sex with each other. And so began my по этому адресу sex skills workshop.
One thing here, two things there. All those bits had accumulated the muslimah sex manual pdf download a very healthy and robust sex life between me and my husband.
I gave her everything, fervently hoping that it would help her in her marital life. A month later, I saw her again. This time she had a gigantic smile on her face. No one teaches this. She shared it with her friends who were newly married. They shared it with their friends. Before long, word trickled back to me that people were asking me to write a book on the subject. HOWEVER, a complete and separate chapter needs to be included about teaching about the female orgasm and the clitoris. The author only covers women's satisfaction as an aside but many women may be unaware of how their clitoris works and she could use this book as a good forum to explain. Most of this manual is how a woman can please her husband. But she never discusses how women can learn about their own bodies so they teach their husbands to satisfy them.
This is a big omission since we would hope the sexual relationship would be a mutual endeavor between husband and wife. Well, this is interesting. Recommended by friends and colleagues as a way to see what is changing in Muslim women's empowerment. The tone of the manual is encouraging and suggestions are clear. Disappointed that the author, as stated, relies on Christian marriage manuals.
That would have spiced it up nicely; Muslim married life has never been stodgy! Thanks for the pioneering book for modern Muslim women. Sad that the traditional advice about sex from married aunties, for example, does not seem to continue for young brides today. Umm Muladhat did an amazing job writing this book! She writes in a language that is simple, humorous and easy to follow. An important point to note is that she writes with the assumption that you already know the fiqh pertaining to sexual matters ie.
In addition, since men and women have different physiology and needs, it would be great to see a version of this book written for husbands.
That way they too know how to satisfy their wives and give them an amazing experience in bed. The book makes make good points and it's beneficial. But there are some aspects and mannerisms that oppose the Book and the Sunnah which should be left off. Lame and waste of money, didnt learn anything you didnt already know by pop culture except to say muslim women should be modest until marriage and then become be sex toys for their husbands.
Read it yourself. Can't wait for part 2! I plan on re-reading this with my partner. He's Muslim, I'm not. Don't hate, appreciate. One person found this helpful.
Fantastic guide for newly married women or those already married to who want to show more affection to their spouses physically.
Great resource for engaged couples to read separately and discuss when islamically appropriate. Tons of techniques, clear instructions, advice for grooming to look attractive and pleasant. Basic knowledge but helpful with more information on positioning and names of them. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. So Upon receiving the book, I had a quick scan and actually think that the way this natural aspect of life is approached through Islamic point of view is very informative and educational.
It's not very new as many of the guidelines described can be found on numerous blogs and forums as well as health websites.
Other than this, I will highly recommend it for Married and Unmarried "people" from all walks of life. This book is rather disappointing. The quality of the book and the price you pay is definitely not worth it! They have not proof read the book for any spelling errors or punctuation errors. Some of the subheadings have not been written in bold. Some subheadings are all one on page. Other subheadings are one page with small paragraph.
The layout of the book is poorly presented. This seems like a first draft written piece rather than something that should have been published! I genuinely feel like I am reading someone's diary entry and to be frank, most of this information can be found for free on the internet. The chapter about positions makes no sense, it is literally a load of waffle!
Please save your money and Google some info if you are looking for any advice or help in this area. Report abuse. I bought this with the intention of giving it to my Muslim friend who is engaged and wanted advice - I read it first just to see what info it gave.
A lot of it is good for people with no experience of sex, such as what to expect, stating that it shouldn't be painful the first time, building up to sex, etc. However, there are a few things that completely rub me the wrong way.
